Thanksgiving Meal Brings People Together
A coalition of neighborhood groups led by the Milwaukee Community Schools Partnership, Westlawn Resident Council, Silver Spring Neighborhood Center (SSNC), Browning Elementary, Safe & Sound, Housing Authority and the Choice Neighborhood Initiative hosted a free Thanksgiving dinner for the neighborhood on November 15th at SSNC. Over 400 guests enjoyed a holiday dinner buffet, music by the Larry Moore band and Rhythm Section (a group of Browning Elementary graduates), and visits by Mayor Barrett and County Supervisor Sequanna Taylor. Many thanks to everyone who helped to make the event a big success!
