Best Babies Zone Informational Meeting
The Westlawn Best Babies Zone (BBZ) initiative held an informational meeting for community stakeholders on August 1 to begin strategizing ways to improve healthy birth outcomes and reduce racial disparities in infant mortality in the wider Westlawn neighborhood. Mayor Barrett welcomed attendees, and staff from the convening partners (United Way, CNI and the Milwaukee Health Department) led the group through activities to explain the BBZ model and collect ideas for the next stage of outreach to the community.
