Construction-Related Job Information Fair To Be Held October 5
On Thursday, October 5, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee will host an information fair for individuals interested in construction-related jobs during the ongoing redevelopment of the Westlawn neighborhood. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.at the Salvation Army Distribution Center, 5880 N. 60th Street. A short presentation about the construction timeline and the anticipated work opportunities will be held at 11 a.m. and repeated at noon and 1 p.m. Job seekers will have the opportunity to learn more about and register for the Housing Authority’s Section 3 Resident Registry, which will allow them to be contacted by contractors when job opportunities become available. Community employment and training partners will also be on site to offer resources.
