Housing Update
A key component of the Choice Neighborhood Initiative is developing high-quality, mixed-income housing throughout the CNI area. If you’ve been in and around the area, you’ve no doubt noticed quite a lot of activity at Westlawn! Here are a few things to look forward to:
Victory Manor will soon be under construction on the corner of 68th and Silver Spring. It will include 60 units of veteran preference housing and will also include supportive services provided by the Center for Veterans Issues (CVI). We will break ground soon – stay tuned for an announcement!
Westlawn Garden Townhomes: Construction of 30 new townhomes is also set to begin soon in Westlawn Gardens.
Westlawn Renaissance II: The Housing Authority recently received tax credits for Westlawn Renaissance II, which will be located at 66th and Silver Spring. The new development will include two buildings and a total of 94 mixed-income units.
