Preparing Westlawn Gardens for Spring
On Saturday, April 29, area residents joined community leaders and volunteers from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee Alumni Association, the UWM College of Nursing, and the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee to prepare the Westlawn Community Gardens for Spring! Despite the chilly weather, there was a great turnout and volunteers prepped more than 30 raised garden beds for spring planting as part of UWM's Alumni Community Engagement Month of Service.
